# TERMS\_OF\_SERVICE

**Last updated:** \[Date of publication]

{% hint style="warning" %}
**Before you publish this:** This document is a starting point tailored to SOL-E's actual features, not final legal advice. Have it reviewed by a qualified lawyer for your country of incorporation, and fill in the bracketed placeholders (company entity, governing law) before publishing.
{% endhint %}

## 1. Acceptance of these Terms

These Terms of Service ("**Terms**") are a legal agreement between you and **\[Company Legal Name / Your Name]** ("**SOL-E**," "**we**," "**us**") governing your use of the SOL-E mobile application and any related services (together, the "**Service**").

By creating an account or using SOL-E, you agree to these Terms and to our [Privacy Policy](broken://pages/04c9d8f40103b03ffd38ba8d6aa0e73d88075a7b), which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service.

## 2. Eligibility

You must be at least **13 years old** to use SOL-E. If you're under the age of majority in your jurisdiction, you confirm that a parent or legal guardian has reviewed and agreed to these Terms on your behalf, or that you otherwise have their permission to use the Service. If you're in a country where a higher minimum age applies to using apps like ours without parental consent, please get that consent first.

## 3. Description of the Service

SOL-E is a wellness and entertainment app where you can:

* Track outdoor walking activity and steps, and earn in-app rewards for it;
* Explore a map-based feature to find and collect virtual in-app rewards near you;
* Play arcade-style mini-games;
* Raise and interact with a virtual pet;
* Complete missions, maintain streaks, and take part in referral and community features; and
* Optionally watch rewarded video ads in exchange for bonus in-app rewards.

We may add, change, or remove features at any time. We don't guarantee that any specific feature will always be available.

## 4. Account Registration & Security

* You need an account (created via email/password or a supported third-party sign-in) to use most of SOL-E.
* You agree to provide accurate information and to keep it up to date.
* You're responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity under your account.
* You may not create multiple accounts to exploit rewards, promotions, or referral features, or share/transfer your account to another person.
* We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, including accounts used for fraud, cheating, or abuse of the reward system.

## 5. Acceptable Use

When using SOL-E, you agree not to:

* Use bots, emulators, GPS-spoofing tools, modified clients, or any automated means to interact with the app or manipulate your rewards, steps, location, or progress;
* Exploit bugs or unintended behaviour to gain rewards you wouldn't otherwise be entitled to (please report bugs to us instead — see [Section 16](#16-contact-us));
* Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or tamper with the app or its backend;
* Interfere with, disrupt, or overburden our servers or infrastructure;
* Use the Service for any unlawful purpose, or to harass, abuse, or harm another person;
* Impersonate any person or entity, or misrepresent your affiliation with anyone; or
* Violate any applicable law or third party's rights while using SOL-E.

We may investigate and take action — including reward reversal, account suspension, or termination — against accounts that breach this section.

## 6. Virtual Rewards & In-App Currency (Flares)

**Flares, Energy, and every other in-app currency, item, or reward within SOL-E are virtual, exist solely within the app, and are not real currency, property, or any kind of financial instrument.**

By using SOL-E, you acknowledge and agree that:

* Flares and other in-app rewards have **no monetary value** and are **not redeemable for cash, cryptocurrency, or any real-world good or service**;
* You don't own Flares or other in-app items in any legal sense — you have a limited, personal, non-transferable licence to use them within the app, for as long as your account remains active and in good standing;
* We may adjust reward amounts, introduce or remove features, or reset/reduce your in-app balances at our discretion (for example, to fix a calculation bug, prevent exploitation, or rebalance the game) — where reasonably possible, we'll try to avoid doing this in a way that unfairly disadvantages genuine players;
* Flares and other rewards cannot be bought, sold, traded, or transferred between accounts or to third parties outside of features we explicitly build for that purpose;
* If your account is terminated for violating these Terms, you forfeit any accumulated in-app rewards, with no compensation.

## 7. Future Blockchain Functionality

SOL-E's current reward system is entirely off-chain and has no connection to any cryptocurrency, token, or blockchain network.

We may, in the future, choose to explore blockchain-based features (for example, built on the Solana network). If we do, participation will be optional, clearly disclosed, and governed by updated or additional terms presented to you before it applies to your account. **Nothing in these Terms, the app, or any of our communications is a promise, guarantee, or offer that any blockchain feature will be built, or that it will have any particular value, timeline, or functionality.** Nothing here should be read as an offer or solicitation to buy, sell, or invest in any digital asset or security.

## 8. Advertising

SOL-E may show optional rewarded video ads via Google AdMob, which you can choose to watch in exchange for bonus rewards. Ads are never required to access the app's core features. Ad content is provided by third-party advertisers and ad networks; we don't control, and aren't responsible for, the content of individual ads.

## 9. Intellectual Property

SOL-E, including its name, logo, artwork, game designs, and all associated content, is owned by us or our licensors and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the app for your own personal, non-commercial use, subject to these Terms. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or create derivative works based on SOL-E without our prior written permission.

Any feedback, suggestions, or ideas you send us about SOL-E may be used by us without any obligation to compensate you.

## 10. Third-Party Services

SOL-E relies on third-party services to operate, including Supabase (backend/authentication) and Google AdMob (advertising). Your use of features that rely on these services is also subject to those providers' own terms and policies. We aren't responsible for the availability, content, or practices of third-party services.

## 11. Termination

You may stop using SOL-E and request deletion of your account at any time (see the [Privacy Policy, Section 14](broken://pages/04c9d8f40103b03ffd38ba8d6aa0e73d88075a7b#14-account-deletion)).

We may suspend or terminate your access to SOL-E, with or without notice, if we reasonably believe you've violated these Terms, engaged in fraudulent or abusive behaviour, or if we're required to do so by law. Sections of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination (including [Section 6](#6-virtual-rewards--in-app-currency-flares), [Section 13](#13-disclaimer-of-warranties), [Section 14](#14-limitation-of-liability), and [Section 15](#15-indemnification)) will continue to apply.

## 12. Changes to the Service or these Terms

We may modify or discontinue all or part of SOL-E at any time. We may also update these Terms from time to time; if we make material changes, we'll provide reasonable notice (for example, in-app or by email) before they take effect. Continuing to use SOL-E after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.

## 13. Disclaimer of Warranties

**SOL-E is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied**, including — to the extent permitted by law — implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We don't guarantee that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or that any step, distance, or location data will be perfectly accurate (device sensors and GPS have inherent real-world limitations).

Nothing in this section limits any statutory rights you may have as a consumer that cannot lawfully be excluded.

## 14. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, **\[Company Legal Name]** will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, goodwill, or in-app progress or rewards, arising out of or related to your use of (or inability to use) SOL-E — even if we've been advised of the possibility of such damages.

Where liability cannot be excluded by law (for example, liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or fraud), nothing in these Terms limits or excludes that liability.

*\[If you want a specific liability cap (e.g., "our total liability will not exceed the amount you paid us in the past 12 months, or £/$ \[amount]"), add it here with your lawyer's input — SOL-E currently has no in-app purchases, so a nominal cap is common for free apps like this.]*

## 15. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claims, losses, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your violation of these Terms or misuse of the Service, to the extent permitted by applicable law.

## 16. Contact Us

Questions about these Terms? Contact us at:

**Email:** \[support/legal contact email]

## 17. Governing Law & Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of **\[Governing Jurisdiction — e.g., England and Wales]**, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where mandatory consumer protection laws of your own country of residence give you additional or different rights that can't be waived by contract.

*\[Add a dispute-resolution clause here appropriate to your jurisdiction — e.g., courts of a specific location, or an arbitration clause — with legal input. This is deliberately left general since it depends on where you're incorporated.]*

## 18. Miscellaneous

* **Entire agreement:** These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, are the entire agreement between you and us regarding SOL-E, and supersede any prior agreements.
* **Severability:** If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest will remain in full effect.
* **No waiver:** Our failure to enforce any provision isn't a waiver of our right to do so later.
* **Assignment:** You may not assign or transfer these Terms; we may assign them in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the following URL with the `ask` and `goal` query parameters:

```
GET https://sol-e.gitbook.io/sol-e-docs/legal/terms_of_service.md?ask=<question>&goal=<user_goal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is what the user is ultimately trying to achieve, the reason they need the answer. Sharing it helps GitBook give you a better, more relevant answer. A goal is most helpful when it describes the outcome the user wants rather than restating the question. For example, with `ask=how do I create an API token`, a goal like `automate deployments from our CI pipeline` lets GitBook tailor the answer to that use case.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
